We start with the famous Vlasic brand dill pickle chips; soaked in buttermilk, tossed in a light blend of yellow corn flour, bleached wheat flour, powdered milk and a pinch of salt; before deep frying. Served with Ranch dressing for your dippin’ pleasure.

MOM’S SPINACH PIE  $7.45
It is a belief of mine, bestowed by my Mom, that what makes us eternal is the memories we leave behind. I hope I make Mom proud with this rendition of her Spanikopita (spinach pie). Spinach blended with Feta, egg, Parmesan, Ricotta, scallions and herbs between layers of flaky fillo dough.

Farm fresh zucchini fed through our spiral slicer to create long corkscrews of zucchini; similar in size to a strand of fat pasta. Lightly sautéed in pure olive oil with a pinch of garlic. Dressed with our Pommodoro sauce; of crushed tomatoes and fresh herbs, before finishing with a sprinkle of real Parmesan.

THE POLE & THE CLEAVER  14.95
Fresh kielbasa from Janik Butchers in Enfield, sliced into disks and pan sautéed with potato and cheddar cheese pierogis. Accented with caramelized onions and Sabrett brand sauerkraut (from Bronx, New York). Garnished with real sour cream (from New Haven, CT).

TAVERNA COMBO  $13.95
Two kabobs. Your choice of strips of chicken breasts marinated in our herbed vinaigrette, or sirloin steak marinated in teriyaki; and char grilled over an open flame. Served upon a bed of herbed rice pilaf, and accompanied by a wedge of our freshly hand-made spinach pie and served with love.

BOURBON GLAZED SALMON  $17.95
At least a half pound of fresh Atlantic salmon marinated and glazed with a bourbon based sauce accented with soy sauce, lime juice, ginger, brown sugar and coarsely chopped garlic cloves. Char grilled over an open flame and served with sides of our home made rice pilaf and freshly sautéed vegetables from one of our local farms.

FILET MIGNON  $19.25 / $25.95
At least a half pound cut of filet mignon char grilled over an open flame to your specified temperature. Dressed with a fresh mushroom demi glace and accompanied by freshly mashed potatoes which are also dressed in mushroom demi glace, as well as pan sautéed fresh vegetables. (Cooking meats medium-well and above will remove flavor and tenderness. We will do it, but it breaks our hearts, and we cannot be responsible for the outcome.)

SARAH’S CLASSIC MEATLOAF DINNER  $13.95
Freshly ground beef accented with bits of celery, onions, herbs, spices and a pinch of bread crumbs. Spiked with dehydrated onions to absorb the drippings while slowly being oven roasted. Dressed in mushroom pan gravy and served with sides of not only fresh mashed potatoes, but also veggie du jour.

SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS  $11.50
Featuring two plump, ¼ pound hand-made meatballs and imported pasta. We welcome pasta substitutions of penne rigate, or fettuccini; and offer fresh broccoli, mushrooms, or pan sautéed chunks of sausage, as meatball substitutions. To substitute zucchini noodles for pasta please add 3.00

FISH & CHIPS  $13.65
A half pound of sole lightly dredged in seasoned flour, and deep fried. Served with hand cut cottage fries, home made tartar sauce and a lemon wedge.

FETTUCCINI ALFREDO  $10.25
Ninety-eight of the most adorable fettuccini noodles this side of Florence, tossed in a sauce of butter, cream, and grated Parmesan cheese. Even better with broccoli at 3.50 or diced crisp bacon at. 3.99; or strips of (2) grilled chicken breasts for 6.95, or (6) grilled shrimp at 6.95.

BOARDING HOUSE FRIED CHICKEN  $15.95
Named after a cook book that we’re not too proud to blatantly steal from. Two plump boneless chicken breasts dipped in buttermilk and seasoned flour before deep frying. Accented with honey and hot sauce before serving with sides of fresh mashed potatoes and pan sautéed fresh vegetables.

RAVIOLI & MEATBALL  $11.50
A baker’s dozen of egg pasta pillows filled with a blend of ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan and Romano cheeses. Adorned with a hand rolled meatball and finished with our fresh marinara sauce.

TORTELLINI SERENADE  $11.35
Plump tortellini filled with three cheeses, and rolled into little green halos from heaven. Tossed in a light tomato cream sauce with fresh spinach and finished with a sprinkle of both grated Parmesan and Romano cheeses.

ELM CITY HADDOCK  $14.95
A plump haddock filet lightly breaded in Panko bread crumbs and pan seared. Deglazed with dry white wine, accented with a squeeze of lemon and finished in our stone oven. NORTHERN LIGHTS  $14.35
Chunks of mild Italian sausage pan sautéed with fresh mushrooms, coarsely chopped garlic cloves and a pinch of crushed red pepper. Glazed in our Marsala wine reduction and finished with a spoonful of fresh marinara sauce. Served over rice pilaf. Please acknowledge no pasta, sub rice when ordering!

CHICKEN MARSALA  $15.95
One of our most popular selections, and my personal favorite. Plump chicken breasts sautéed with our intense, yet not overwhelming Marsala wine reduction, mushrooms & select herbs. Served over rice pilaf. Please be sure to acknowledge no flour on chicken and no pasta/sub rice when ordering, just to be sure!

CHAR GRILLED CHICKEN PARMIGIANA  $14.25
Two plump chicken breasts lovingly tenderized, (smacked with a mallet), and char grilled over an open flame. Smothered with homemade marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Served with a sides of pan sautéed fresh seasonal vegetables and herbed rice pilaf.

CHICKEN AND RICE PRIMAVERA  $14.25
Pan sautéed carrots, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, sweet onions, florets of broccoli, spinach and nuggets of coarsely chopped garlic cloves in olive oil. Enhanced with a splash of white wine, a squeeze of lemon, a sprinkle of the chef’s personal herbs; and crowned with slices of freshly char grilled chicken breast, before spooning over a bed of steaming rice.

BLACK MAGIC  $15.95
A bodacious chicken breast dredged thru Cajun spices, and char grilled. Sliced into strips and tossed with sautéed tomatoes and freshly clipped leaves of spinach. Served over rice pilaf. Please acknowledge no Alfredo sauce and no pasta/sub rice when ordering!

CHAR GRILLED SALMON  $18.95
At least a half-pound of fresh Atlantic salmon char grilled over an open flame to a moist perfection. Simply finished with medallions of an herbed citrus butter and accompanied by sides of not only, our home made rice pilaf, but also sautéed vegetables from one of our local farms.

CHARDONNAY HADDOCK  $13.65
At least a half-pound of North Atlantic haddock snuggled into its own private casserole and lightly drizzled with Chardonnay wine as well as a squeeze of lemon and a pat (or two) of butter before being slowly oven baked to order. Accompanied by sides of herbed rice pilaf and pan sautéed fresh vegetables.

THE FRESHEST FISH  $45.95
A dozen assorted fish, freshly caught from our fish tanks in the dining room. Lightly dusted in seasoned flour and pan sautéed with chunks of our high gluten bread. Deglazed with a bunch of soy sauce and finished with a cherry. P.S. Just kidding!

GLUTEN FREE PIZZA  $13.25
Our gluten free dough measures 10 ½ inches across; and is adorned with tomato sauce as well as whole milk mozzarella cheese. Finally, it is baked in a perforated pan, to absorb the stone oven flavors. Also available in a white version. Toppings (each) $1.50.
