FAMILY DEAD SHOW!

As you can see from the picture, our 2017 summer has officially begun with our first 2017 road trip.

We headed up to Boston to see the Grateful Dead as a family (or as they’re now known as “Dead & Co.”) We had an absolute blast touring the city by day and showing the kids what their Mom and Dad’s “roots” were by night. The whole extravaganza was invigorating for us all.

After that we returned home and have had a blast getting reacquainted with our pool. The kids have had several friends over and I take pride in seeing the kids experience a summer like I used to know. Camps and stuff start this week, but my summers were unscheduled, “find your own fun” affairs, and I treasure that this will be part of my kid’s summer…or they can help me do chores!

Back here at the restaurant, we’re falling into a great groove and I certainly hope you enjoy your experience today. My Dad always said, “If there is anything we can do to improve, please tell us…and if not; please tell everyone!”

Lightly breaded chicken tenders deep fried, sliced into strips and tossed in Frank’s Red Hot sauce. Snuggled between two warm flour tortillas with mozzarella cheese and a pinch of scallions. Toasted in our stone oven.

A filet of salmon weighing at least a half-pound, smothered in a puree of fresh roasted garlic and drizzled with white wine and a squeeze of lemon before covering with foil and baking in the stone oven. Accompanied by sides of fresh herbed rice pilaf as well as pan sautéed, farm fresh zucchini and yellow summer squash. Accompanied by a soup or a salad and a mini loaf of garlic bread.

Our fresh hand stretched pizza dough topped with our taco meat of; ground sirloin enhanced with sautéed sweet onions, taco seasonings and a light sprinkle of kidney beans. Capped with a blend of cheddar, Monterey Jack and whole milk mozzarella cheeses; before being topped with slices of jalapeno, diced ripe tomatoes and sliced black olives. Baked in our stone oven and finished with a chiffonade of iceberg lettuce as well as sides of our home made salsa and sour cream.
